What is FLOW?

There are many stories about people experiencing the state of flow. For example in baseball, there is a moment when the pitcher's throw appears to move in slow motion in the eyes of the hitter. There are sometimes stories about artists who were so focused on their work that they kept going until sunrise without eating anything. Then what about the case for hairstylists? I think the state of flow can be described as the sensation of a pair of scissors and a hand becoming one.

I want the hairstylists using my scissors to be able to feel the flow while working every day because I believe it makes work enjoyable. I named my scissors "FLOW", in the hope that they would support the lifelong journey of the hairstylists.

For a hairstylist to be in a state of flow, owning sharp scissors is important because a dull blade that can't cut will interrupt one's concentration.

To create the dream scissors with the ideal comfort and long-lasting sharpness, I spent time finding the right steel and diamond sharpening stones to hone the blades. The size and length of the blade, as well as the handles and their balance, had also been thought out very carefully. I didn't want to cut corners in creating scissors that are comfortable and easy to use for my clients.

As a craftsman devoted to hairdressing scissors, I will continue to work hard to improve and create enjoyable and comfortable scissors.
